I am a big fan of AppSense and use it almost daily. I think anyone who knows the product will agree that from a delivery standpoint there have had some challenges delivering the new Personalisation Server feature but as a whole the products lead the way in User Profile management along with performance enhancements and application security.
Bearing in mind the challenges seen this year, the following article shows that AppSense have had a great year of business growth.
With the virtualisation market getting larger and larger you can only expect greater things next year. AppSense have some great new additions in the pipeline which are only going to cement their place in the market further. New features including User Rights Management (URM) and Strata™ providing the ability for User Installed Applications (UIA) are going to be critical in managing a virtual desktop estate. I can only assume that this kind of growth in a challenging year will lead to unprecedented growth in a potentially very exciting 12-18 months to come.
Strata is definitely making a lot of noise in the industry! Having installed and run the software myself, I can honestly say that I was amazed by it's flexibility and ease of use. Just like the rest of the Appsense Management Suite, it's going to solve a lot of problems and be an essential part of all future VDI projects.
